Crazy Thing (Alternative Paperback)

He’s a grumpy billionaire who’d crush any rival under his fancy designer shoe.
I’m a barefoot free spirit who’d sacrifice anything to save the town I love.
We couldn’t be more different.
So how did I end up working as his assistant?
And more importantly…how did he end up in my bed?!

Darius Brighton stands for everything I despise.
He’s rude. He’s impatient.
And there’s not one loyal bone in that muscle-cut body of his. I learned that from experience.

He can’t be trusted and everyone in Starlight Falls knows it.

For the past sixteen years, I’ve done everything in my power to avoid him.
I even left our quirky hometown just to put space between us.

But when looming disaster brings me back to Starlight Falls, I quickly realize that Darius is the only one who can save our beloved town.

So I make a deal with the handsome devil—I’ll work as his assistant and he’ll write a check to make all the town’s problems go away.

Easy peasy.

We agree to put our personal differences aside.
After all, this is a professional agreement. Or at least, it’s supposed to be.

The problem is—now I can’t escape him.

After avoiding him for years, now Darius is everywhere.
He’s even started barging into my dreams.
See? Rude!

Long days, working together at the office. Sweaty nights, working together between his sheets.
He makes my heart flutter. He makes my toes curl.
And I’m slowly starting to remember why Darius and I used to be friends. Way back before we became enemies.

Soon he claims that he’s falling for me.
He says he wants me no matter how different we are.
That’s just ridiculous! …Isn’t it?

Well, the crazy thing is—I’m starting to fall for him, too.

But can I really trust his true intentions?
Especially when the fate of our town is depending on me?

Crazy Thing is a steamy, laugh-out-loud, small town, opposites attract, billionaire romance. It is set in small town Iowa and is book five in the Brighton Family series.
